PPC Web Spy Free Adwords Key Phrase Competition Research

January 28, 2009 by Big Jason

Brad Callen just released PPC Web Spy for free. It is a Google Adwords Key Phrase Competition research tool.

You just install a free firefox plugin and search for a phrase in Google. The plugin will now put a button below each adwords ad that says “View Keywords” like below.

Click the button and a popup comes up with the following:

* ten paid keywords or phrases they are using
* position for each word or phrase
* average cost per click ( CPC )
* maximum cost per click ( CPC)
* clicks per day
* cost per day
* average position for all words and phrases
* total average cost per click
* total clicks per day
* total cost per day

Below is a screenshot of a search I did on real estate. I’m not including the phrases I tested in my niches.

I love this tool and bought the upgrade so I could see more than ten keywords and phrases. But in some niches, ten was enough. Definitely try the free version.

I think this would become the right place to search for the correct and relevant keywords. I would like to try this and implement on my own website. Thanks for sharing..

Hey there! Interesting blog! I’m working with my friend in a small internet marketing business as a junior SEO analyst.
