Feedburner Feed Count

Nope, that isn’t my feedburner feed count. I put that there because:

I participated in the blogging idol contest and wanted to mess with other contestants
I wanted to bait the ethics police who would be stupid enough to think I’m stupid enough to think that could fool most bloggers

Fact is that it was already discussed on my blog well before any of the ethic nazis blogged about it. Sorry to rain on their parade of allegedly “discovering” it.

Truth is that both of us can do quite well without a huge feed count, great alexa ranking, tens of thousands of spammy backlinks and high pagerank.

I do paid reviews, sell text link ads, have tons of people all over the world at conferences tell me they know about my blog, get tons of software and services comped, rank at the very top for affiliate promotions and much more without all that.

Its not that any of that won’t help, but some people preach that you have to attain that to have success which is total b.s. Its all about relevance and connecting with people.
