Aweber Custom Form Tutorial with Optin Rate Tracking
August 8, 2008 by Big Jason
I have seen quite a few people in forums struggle with using custom forms with aweber, a lower end email service provider or autoresponder service.
They would like to use custom submit buttons and different styles, but they want to track the optin rate with the javascript code provided by aweber. Unfortunately using this optin rate tracking code prevents you from customizing your subscription form quite a bit.
Here is a video tutorial on how you can customize your optin form as much as you want and still track how many people see your form versus how many of them hit that submit button.
It basically comes down to this. You need to use both but hide the javascript optin tracking code from being seen otherwise visitors will see two optin forms.
Just hide the tracking code like so:
<div style="display:none;">
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://forms.aweber.com/form/07/1234431907.js">
</div>
If you have any questions, use the comment form.
